Jon Carlson, Psy.D., Ed.D.
C.E. Development
Jon Carlson, Psy.D., Ed.D. is Distinguished Professor of Psychology
and Counseling at Governors State University, University Park, Illinois
and a Psychologist with the Wellness Clinic in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin.
In addition to serving as the long-time Editor of The Family Journal,
Jon is the author of 30 books in the areas of psychotherapy, family
therapy, marital enrichment, consultation, and Adlerian psychology.
Some of his best known works include: The Intimate Couple, The Disordered
Couple, Brief Therapy with Individuals and Couples, Health Counseling,
Theories and Strategies of Family Therapy, and Time for a Better
Marriage. He and Jeffrey Kottler have co-authored Bad Therapy, The
Mummy at the Dining Room Table and The Finest Hour.
Jon has also developed and produced over 150 commercial videotapes
that feature the most prominent leaders in the field (including
the professionals featured in his books) demonstrating their theories
in actions. These videos are used to train the next generation of
practitioners. He also has worked as the school counselor and psychologist
for 25 years at the Woods School in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin.
Stephen Madigan MSW, MS, Ph.D. Managing Editor
Dr. Madigan is a co-founder of planet-therapy.com. He is responsible
for all written and audio content and development. Dr. Madigan's
therapeutic work has been highlighted in numerous International
newspapers and featured in NEWSWEEK Magazine, The Psychotherapy
Networker, Canada's CBC Radio and America's National Public Radio.
His expertise in working with couples, families and individuals
is the focus of two "Family Therapy with the Experts"
videos, distributed worldwide by Allyn and Bacon publishers in New
York. Dr. Madigan has taught his unique therapeutic style to tens
of thousands of psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, physicians
and mental health workers worldwide. He has been invited to present
his ideas throughout Europe, Australia, New Zealand, and Canada,
as well as twenty major cities in the US.
For the past ten years Dr. Madigan has worked both as the sole
therapeutic provider with the Canadian and American film industry
personal and as a consultant to numerous international eating disorder
programs. He has also worked as a script consultant to over 60 TV
and movie productions. Dr. Madigan is the founder of Yaletown Family
Therapy Inc. with offices in Toronto and Vancouver. He is the co-founder

Martin Mills Systems Architect
Martin Mills is a Toronto-based artist and new media developer.
He specializes in providing digital solutions for community organizations
and creative professionals. Born in Dublin, Ireland, Martin studied
art at University of Toronto and is presently studying computer

Ed is the Director of Research at the Canadian College of NaturopathicMedicine.
Ed is also the chair of the Evidence-Based Allied Health Working
Group. Ed is most recently completing his graduate studies at the
University of Oxford examining herb-drug interactions and the methodologies
required to notice true reactions. He is the recipient of
several grants examining allied health use in infectious disease.
He has conducted several randomised controlled trials in both clinical
incidence and patient decision making. He is an Essiac Oxford Scholar.

Victoria Dickerson, Ph.D.
Victoria Dickerson, Ph.D. is a clinical psychologist with a practice
in Los Gatos, California. She is a co-founder of planet-therapy.
com and a co-founder of Bay Area Family Therapy Training Associates
in Cupertino, California. She is well published with a professional
book (If Problems Talked, with Dr. Jeffrey Zimmerman, Guilford,
1996) and numerous articles and book chapters. She is an adjunct
lecturer at Santa Clara University,has been the director of two
training centers, and continues to offer workshops worldwide She
currently specializes in working with women in their 20's, with
a new book coming out in 2004 through Putnam/Penguin publishers.
Elliot Goldner MD, FRCP
Dr. Goldner is the head psychiatrist for all community mental health
services in the province of British Columbia, Canada. He is a professor
of psychiatry at the University of British Columbia, and travels
extensively to teach in Mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Malaysia
and Thailand.
Neil Jordan, BA
Mr. Jordan is one of Irelands most highly acclaimed prize winning
authors. In addition, Neil is an Oscar Award winning script writer
and Director of such films as "The Crying Game", "The
End of the Affair," "Michael Colins," "The Butcher
Boy," "In Dreams,", "Interview with a Vampire",
and "Mona Lisa".
Anne Madigan, MD. MSW, MSC.
Anne Madigan MD holds an MSW from Carleton University, an MSC in
Health Policy from The London School of Economics, and an MD, CCFP
from McMaster University. Anne is a practicing Family Physician
in downtown Toronto with a particular interest in the interplay
between physical and mental health issues. As a practicing psychotherapist
and medical doctor she both challenges and embraces the tennents
of traditional psychiatry with her patients. Anne has a professional
and personal interest in the area of mind body medicine and the
effects of meditation as a form of healing.
Imelda McCarthy Ph.D.
Dr. McCarthy is one of Ireland's most internationally acclaimed
psychologists. She is the Department Chair of Family Therapy and
Social Policy at the University College Dublin, in Dublin Ireland.
She constantly travels and lectures throughout Europe, Scandinavia,
North America, and the Carribean. Dr. McCarthy brings a wealth of
knowledge and important global psychotherapeutic knowledge to planet-therapy.com.
